Privacy Policy

Arrival is a travel language-learning app made by an independent developer. This policy explains what information the early-access website and the app collect, why, and the choices you have. It covers two separate things: the waitlist website you may be reading now, and the Arrival app when you use it.

The waitlist website

If you join early access, we store the name, email address, and language preference you enter, along with a short label noting which link brought you here (for example, whether you came from social media). This is kept in our database, hosted by Supabase, and used only to send you launch and early-access updates. We do not sell it, and we do not share it with anyone except the infrastructure providers below who store it on our behalf. Ask us any time and we will remove you from the list and delete your entry.

The Arrival app

To sign in and save your progress, the app stores your account email and learning progress (which scenes you have practiced, your scores, and the words you are reviewing). Authentication and this data are handled by Supabase.

Arrival is a speaking app, so practicing a scene means recording your voice. When you speak, your audio is sent to OpenAI to transcribe what you said and to generate the character's spoken reply. We send only what is needed for that exchange. We do not use your recordings to advertise to you, and we do not sell them. OpenAI processes this data as our provider under their own terms; we do not use your conversations to train models ourselves.

Who we share data with

We rely on a small number of service providers to run Arrival, and your data passes through them only for that purpose:

• Supabase — accounts, waitlist, and saved progress.
• OpenAI — speech transcription, character replies, and spoken audio.
• Railway — hosting for the app's backend service.

We do not share your information with anyone else.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it — including your account, your saved progress, and your waitlist entry. To do any of these, email the address below and we will take care of it.

Children

Arrival is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

As Arrival grows, this policy may change. When it does, we will update the date at the top of this page.
